Try Me Free - Hillshire Farm Deli Select Hearty Slices Oven Roasted Chicken Breast - Mail In Rebate

Buy 1 package of Hillshire Farm Deli Select Hearty Slices Oven Roasted Chicken Breast by 6/30/09 and receive the full purchase price up to $4.99 back by mail.

There is no official request form associated with this offer. To receive your rebate, send the UPC symbol from the package along with the original cash register receipt with purchase price circled as well as a 3x5 index card containing your name, address, city, state, zip code and e-mail address to:

Additionally, there is a $.55/1 coupon in the 10/5 Red Plum insert as well $1.00/1 peelie on selected containers.

Please also note that this product retails at Shoppers. I was throughly delighted that Shoppers carried all of the varieties that I have mentioned with mail in offers. I had previously looked at multiple other stores only to be disappointed that these specific varieties were not carried.

Shoppers - Free Blue Bonnet

Buy Blue Bonnet sticks 16oz--$1.09
Use $.50 on any Blue Bonnet coupon from 11/9 insert
Coupon tripled to deduct $1.09
Free after tripled coupon

Please also note that while the coupon does have a Food Lion logo on it and is placed in the insert in a manner so as to imply that the coupon is to be used only at Food Lion, the coupon is actually a manufacturers coupon that can be used at any store.

Additionally, please note that if a Shopper's store isn't convenient, you could use the $.50 coupon at any store that doubles couples and sells Blue Bonnet for approximately $1.00 to net free butter.

Furthermore, I noted that Bloom has the same Blue Bonnet for $.99. While they do not double coupons on a daily basis, Bloom does have triple coupon days about once a month that allows overage. Plus, Bloom is an affiliate of Food Lion so if the cashier decided to question the coupon, you would have an even more legitimate claim for acceptance of the coupon.

Shoppers - Free Joint Juice

Buy Joint Juice Water--$1.39
Use $1.00 on any Joint Juice product from recent insert

Free plus overage after doubled coupon

Generally, Shoppers registers are very strict and do not allow overage. Yet, for some unknown reason, it was provided on this product.

Alternatively, there is $1.00/2 coupon in the 11/9 Red Plum insert. However, utilizing solely the Red Plum insert coupon would not result in free napkins. Nevertheless, the two coupons could be in conjunction to net two free packages of napkins.

Shoppers - Free No Nonsense Socks

Buy No Nonsense Socks--$1.59
Use $1 on any No Nonsense item coupon from prior hosiery purchase
Coupon doubled to deduct $1.59
Free after doubled coupon

Several years ago I bought a pair of tan dress socks at Target. At the time, although the pair of socks were on clearance, I didn't think my find was that great of a deal. Then a short time later I began looking for dress socks in different colors and scoured a variety of department, mass retail and outlet stores looking for socks only to realize that my Target purchase was a true bargain. More recently I started noting that No Nonsense offers a nice selection of affordable dress socks. I am delighted by this realization as I feel that if you truly want to impress someone (in the workplace or dating) you should wear socks that match your outfit. As in, if you are wearing black, you should wear black socks, not navy blue socks, etc.

Shoppers - Free Loaf of Shoppers French Bread

After a series of dismal bargain shopping experiences the past few double/triple coupon days at Bloom, Shoppers and KMart, I was about to swear double/triple coupon days off. The primary reason I was willing to trek back out to Shoppers for this double/triple coupon days was because after the last experience I received a coupon at the checkout for a free loaf of Shoppers French Bread, if I called and completed a survey about my experience.

Shoppers - Double/Triple Coupon Days

Shoppers Food will be holding a week of double/triple coupon shopping just in time for Thanksgiving from Thursday, November 20 thru Wednesday, November 26. The coupon days will will feature triple manufacture coupons up to and including $.50. This means that a manufacture cents off coupon worth $.25=$.75. In addition, it will feature double manufacture coupons more than $.50 and up to $1.00. This means $.55=$1.10 & $1.00=$2.00, but a $1.25=$1.25.

Please be aware that while there is no limit to the total number of coupons that can be utilized, there is a limit of 4 coupons for identical items. As well, be advised that Shoppers does not accept internet printable coupons over $.99.

Additionally, please note that while Shoppers advertisements for the double/triple coupon days indicate that coupons which state "Not Subject to Doubling" or "Do Not Trouble" will not be eligible for tripling or doubling, such coupons will double/triple.

CVS - Free Glade Scented Oil Warmer and Refill

Spend $10 on select Glade products and get $5 in ExtraCare Bucks.

I previously posted a scenario for free Glade Glass Scents under this CVS Glade offer, but this is an alternate scenario that you can do in lieu of or in addition to the Glass Scents scenario, as long as you do not exceed a total of 5 Glade ExtraCare Buck offers. This scenario is especially wonderful since you can get a Glade Night Light with Extra Outlet as well as refill for free. Often times, the Glade Night Light with Extra Outlet is excluded from promotions. So get it while you can:

Buy 1 Glade Scented Oil Refill--$3.99
Buy 1 Glade Scented Oil Warmer--$7.69
Use Buy 1 Scented Oil Refill, Get Scented Oil Warmer Free coupon from the 11/2 SmartSource insert
Free plus $1.01 overage after coupon and ExtraCare Bucks

This offer has an ExtraCare Bucks limit of 5.

Consumer Warning - Rebate Processor Files for Bankruptcy

Continental Promotion Group, a firm that processes rebates for retailers such as Canon, Costco and Home Depot in addition to others, filed for bankruptcy protection last week. There is a danger that its rebate checks could bounce if you deposit them.

CVS - Free St. Ives Skincare

When I went to CVS to purchase the L'Oreal Age Perfect Calcium, I noticed I received a CRT for $2.00 off any St. Ives skincare product. I quickly realized that I could pair the CRT with a printable coupon to net free St. Ives from CVS. However, I can't guarantee that if you purchase the L'Oreal Age Perfect Calcium that you will get a CRT for St. Ives too. But, it is worth noting as normally I don't pay much attention to the CRTs.

Buy St. Ives Apricot Scrub--$3.99
Use $2.00 St. Ives CRT
Use $2.00 printable coupon here

Rite Aid - Free Arm & Hammer Deodorant

Arm & Hammer Deodorant 2.5-2.8 oz--$.99 (sale thru 11/22)
Use $1/1 printable coupon
Free after coupon

A natural deodorant...ehh? I am neither a hippie nor wish to purchase/support anything that could be construed as hippie-like. As a result of having lived a year in tight quarters with a vegan, treehugging fanatic that never engaged in normal hygiene practices, I have little tolerance for anything hippie-like. I am a big fan of using deodorant and am completely okay with using synthetic deodorants. Nonetheless, since this product is free, I might give it a try. I'll just be sure to try it out first on a day I am not as active running around, perhaps a Sunday.

Wegmans - Free Johnson Buddies Bar Soap

Johnson Buddies Easy-Grip Sudzing Bar soap sells for approximately $1.00, but usually a few cents under, at a variety of shopping locations including but not limited to: Wegmans, KMart, Albertsons, WalMart, etc. There are also a number of printable coupons available for the product including a Brick's printable coupon for $1/1 that can be found here. This is an on-going coupon/price match-up. Thus, you can repeat this deal as many times as you can print coupons.

Although this product is intended for use on babies/small children, I'll confess that when I was separated from my stock of Softsoap body wash and the last bottle I had in my possession was running low, I seriously contemplated removing the green covering from the soap and just using this product myself.

Walgreens - Deerfield Cheese

As I previously mentioned in my commentary about cheese prices, Walgreens periodically has 8 oz bags of Deerfield Shredded Cheese on sale for $1.50 and in appears that this week (thru 11/22) is one of those times.

Since I just picked up cheese at Safeway, I don't plan to rush to Walgreens. Instead, I think I will go to Walgreens at the end of the week, even though my store will likely be out. Then I can get a raincheck and hopefully be prepared for the next potential cheese famine. It's a little manipulative I know, but my cheese eating habits will not be constrained by sale dates. I am going to attempt to take the power to decide when I purchase cheese into my own hands. Okay, maybe I am being a little dramatic, but I did enjoy a momentary surge of power and sense of control. I am not really a crackhead or should I say cheesehead. But, I also don't have a stable enough life to just be able to pile a freezer full of cheese for whenever I want it.

Rite Aid - Free St. Ives Apricot Scrub or Elements Skin Care

This is one Single Check Rebate item that I woke up extra early to make the journey to Rite Aid to snag before my store ran out. I am truly dealighted by this offer. Some basic hygiene items can always be counted on as being acquired for free such as toothpaste, but free facial care products rarely make it into the mix. What's up with that manufacturers and rebate program managers? We the people, or at least me, want to see more basic facial cleansers in the rebate lineup, not just fancy, newfangled, expensive products that we can't readily indentify with and incorporate into our daily lives. No disrespect to L'Oreal intended, I just think Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, etc., could step it up a notch.

Buy St. Ives Apricot Scrub 10 oz or St. Ives Elements Skin Care--$4.99
Use $2/1 printable coupon here
Request $4.99 Single Check Rebate #133
Free plus $2.00 overage after coupon and rebate

Rebate only valid 11/16 - 11/22/08.

CVS - Free L’oreal Age Perfect Pro Calcium

Buy L’Oreal Age Perfect Pro Calcium--$15.99
Use $1 on any L’Oreal Moisturizer from 10/19 Smart Source insert
Receive $15.99 in ExtraCare Bucks
Free plus $1.00 overage after coupon and ExtraCare Bucks
Limit 1

The exquisiteness of this brand/product definitely makes it enticing to want to try. I am sure the product will fly off the shelves at many CVS stores. At the same time though, I don’t feel entirely comfortable with the risk of fronting such a large sum of money. An ExtraCare Buck reward of $15.99 could potentially be problematic to spend as I tend to make frequent, small trips to CVS. But, I'm sure I will break down and buy the moisturizer anyway.
